Artificial Grass

Artificial grass is ideal for use in low maintenance gardens; it requires no watering or cutting. It is especially popular with our customers with holiday homes here on the Isle of Wight. It is also great for a family with children or animals; with its impact underlay it provides a very safe play area and is very easy to clear up mess!

There is no need to worry about the grass pollen from your artificial lawn, so the sneezes will calm down in the peak of the summer. It is hard-wearing but soft and has a long lifespan - it looks perfect all year no matter what the weather.

Low Maintenance

There are many different combinations to ensure your garden requires minimum effort. Low maintenance gardens are perfect for:

• Those who have a disability but still wish to enjoy their outside space

Shrub Borders

Shrub borders can be as simple or as creative as you like. You will be able to come to our nursery to hand pick your very own plants. Our experts will advise you on the best shrubs, bushes, trees, plants and flowers for your garden depending on the climate in your area and soil conditions.

By laying a weed barrier membrane before planting limits the re-growth of weeds (but does not irradiate them completely). This process also minimises watering as it is very effective in retaining moisture, even in the height of summer.

Different areas within your border can be made as a feature, for example - Mediterranean, scented, movement, evergreen and flowering. We certainly love a challenge!

Tree Surgery

Tree surgery is not offered as a standalone service, but we can include it in a project if you wish to do any of the following:

• Tree assessment
• Minor pruning
• Deadwooding
• Removing lower limbs to raise tree
• Crown reduction
• Balancing framework of tree
• Pollarding
• Total removal
• Stump grinding

We can also advise on replacement planting.

Annual Maintenance

Weed Control

It is fairly safe to say that most people detest weeding. Why do these uninvited little shoots appear exactly where they are not welcome?

Weed control can be a tedious job, but here at Dixcey Landscapes we have developed specific spraying programs to control those relentless pests. Let us take care of the weeding so you can enjoy your garden in all its glory!

Japanese Knotweed

Japanese Knotweed is an incredibly invasive species of plant. It has a large underground network of roots which are strong enough to damage concrete foundations, buildings, roads, pavements, retaining walls and many other architectural buildings.

If you have spotted Japanese Knotweed growing around your garden please notify us as soon as you can. Our experts will recommend a tailor made treatment plan to irradiate it from your property.

Unfortunately, we do not offer certificates for mortgages.

Hedging

Wide, thin, tall or small, we supply many types of hedging. Dixcey Landscapes can remove old, tired or dead hedges and replace them with luscious, healthy new ones grown in our very own nursery; or we can landscape your garden from scratch.
